6-5 Power Supply
The 7036A-T has a single 665W high-effi ciency power supply that features noise-
suppression technology for silent operation. The power supply has the capability to
automatically sense and operate with an input voltage of 100 or 240V AC.
Replacing the Power Supply
To replace the power supply, begin by powering down the system1.
Remove the left chassis cover to access the power supply for removal.2.
Unplug the power cord from the power supply. Then remove the power supply 3.
connectors going to the motherboard and the SATA backplane.
Remove the screws that secure the unit to the mounting brackets in the chas-4.
sis and then pull the unit completely out.
Replace the failed power supply with another having the exact same part 5.
number (PWS-665-PQ). Gently but fi rmly push the new unit all the way into
the open bay.
Secure it to the mounting brackets in the chassis with the screws provided. 6.
Connect two power cables to the SATA backplane and two to the mother-7.
board power connectors.
Finish by replacing the chassis left cover and then restoring power to the 8.
system.
