6-5 Power Supply

The 5017C-TF has a single 350 watt power supply. This power supply has the

capability of operating at 100 or 240 input volts. Use the main power button on the

front of the chassis to power off the system and then unplug the AC power cord

before removing the power supply for any reason.

Power Supply Failure

If the power supply unit fails, the system will shut down and you will need to replace

the power supply unit. Replacement units can be ordered directly from Supermicro

(see part numbers in the appendix and contact infomation in Chapter 1).

Replacing the Power Supply

Unplug the AC power cord.1.

Remove the top chassis cover (see procedure on previous page).2.

Remove the two screws on the back of the power supply, which secure it to 3.

Replace the failed unit with another unit of the same wattage.4.

Carefully insert the new unit into position in the chassis and secure it with the 5.

Before reconnecting the power cord, make sure the power switch on the 6.

Reconnect the power cord, replace the chassis top cover and push the unit 7.

Finish by turning the power switch on the power supply on, and then depress 8.
