Chapter 1
Introduction
1-1 Overview
The SuperServer 6028R-WTR(T) is a high-end server comprised of two main
subsystems: the SC815TS-R740WBP 2U chassis and the X10DRW-i(T) dual
processor serverboard. Please refer to our web site for information on operating
systems that have been certifi ed for use with the system (
www.supermicro.com).
In addition to the serverboard and chassis, various hardware components have been
included with the SuperServer 6028R-WTR(T), as listed below:
• One (1) SC815/826/216/213 DP X9, X8 air shroud (MCP-310-29001-0N)
• Heatsinks:
One (1) Passive CPU heatsink (SNK-P0048PS)
One (1) Passive CPU heatsink (SNK-P0048PSC)
• Three (3) 8-cm hot-swap PWM fans (FAN-0126L4)
• One (1) 76-cm 16-pin to 16-pin 28AWG front control cable (CBL-0071L)
• SATA Accessories:
One (1) SATA backplane (BPN-SAS-825TQ-O-P)
Eight (8) drive carriers (MCP-220-00075-0B)
Two (2) sets of four SATA 56/45.5/35/23-cm 26AWG cables (CBL-0186L)
Two (2) 40-cm 8-pin to 8-pin 28AWG SGPIO cables (CBL-CDAT-0661)
• Riser Cards:
One (1) riser card (RSC-R2UW-2E8R-O-P)
One (1) riser card (RSC-R2UW-4E8-O-P)
• One (1) rackmount kit (MCP-290-00053-0N)
